Advanced Technical Services Manager-filled

The Advanced Technical Services (ATS) Manager is primarily responsible for managing the personnel resources assigned to his or her team. The ATS Manager is a peer to the Consulting Manager, and as such may have other operational responsibilities such as Project Management, Customer Satisfaction, or other. This position reports to the CTO.

A primary role for this position is to oversee the profitability of this team. In order for ATS to run profitable, it must maintain group chargeability equivalent of 60% or higher. (Equivalent is used because it is anticipated that ATS will be able to leverage value billing practices resulting in a higher than avg. effective billing rate – in the early phases actual billable time may be less than 60%, but their equivalent billings should equate to that % or above).

Once engagements for implementation are set, the ATS Manager is anticipated to participate in the first "few" implementations and use these initial implementations as a training process for other ATS group members. Once others have been adequately trained, the ATS manager will then be responsible for managing the pipeline of additional implementations, as well as providing any necessary project management oversight on those future implementations by the ATS group.

The ATS Manager will work with the CTO to execute on agreed upon strategies for driving new implementations; these will include but not be limited to customer visits and presentations, user groups and/or classes, events, web site traffic, etc.

Lastly, the ATS Manager will be responsible for the ROI process which may be required for any given opportunity, as well as the use-case analysis to drive a solutions specification and overall best practice for testing, delivery and UAT.

This position will communicate with clients on an on-going basis while projects are being performed on site and to make sure that all services have been performed to the level of expectation of our clients. In addition, this position will be responsible for creating consulting quotes and generating consulting work through consultations with customers, customer development surveys and incoming requests. More specifically this position will be responsible for the following:

Administrative Duties:

  • Establish documentation standards for spec development, solution development, delivery and support.
  • Mentoring new and existing consultants on policies and procedures as they relate to ATS areas of responsibility and processes.
  • Prepare signoff letter for all completed new implementations.
  • Work with development as a liaison between ATS and development for cross group work or needs.
  • Oversee the ATS group to ensure compliance with RBS policies for PCS, timeslips, finesse, etc.
  • Internally, this position will be responsible for managing multiple consultants on various engagements and prioritizing needs as they need to be met.

Customer Satisfaction:

  • Follow up with customers within 10 -15 days of solution implementation completion to discuss current project and any outstanding items that may exist.
  • Communicate all finding to consultants with regards to discussions with clients on work performed or additional work to be scheduled.

Additional Duties:

  • This position will also be responsible for working with RBS IT on internal projects to enhance productivities through ongoing tools development and leveraging new technologies.
  • Assist with the ongoing vision and direction of our Technical Services offerings, process, documentation and procedures to ensure best practices both internally and with our customers.
