Dynamics GP can easily be used to manage inventory demand and supply for multiple inventory locations. By using separate sales forecasts, the MRP functionality in GP can separately analyze forecasted demand, and suggest manufacturing orders and purchase orders to fulfill the demand.
This video shows this functionality in action.

I'm sorry if my comments seem a little harsh but I'm a bit frustrated by Microsoft decision to exclude real multi-site MRP capabilities in GP 2010 and I don't think you guys got what the problem really is.
Usually a midsize manufacturer would have a single manufacturing plant and probably more than one distribution warehouse / site.
If you enter a sales forecast for each location GP MRP does not look at quantity available at other locations, like the manufacturing plant finished goods site for example, and will suggest MOs based on demand and available quantity at the location selected on the forecast. This demand could have been fulfilled by transferring stock with no need to manufacture anything.
I am not even going to talk about the problems that not having a multi-site aware MRP system causes to companies that handle the same raw materials at different locations, because of quality control or space issues. Anybody that has used GP QA & MRP modules at the same implementation would know what I'm talking about.
